I know now where to come if I need inspiration or connect to someone truly making progress at human speed (which is like a million times slower than our dreams) or just want occasional philosophical wisdom,.

'I have realized now I am good with trajectory. Timelines, not so much.'

Amazing!! :)

Feedback for you Daniel! - replete with enthusiasm and aplomb( of technology and health learning and teaching in specific) I commend and thank you for the birthday newsletter as you celebrate.

WOW!

Here in NYC, and my name is Daniel, Daniel Joel in fact in the Queens part of NYC where we all endured the covid crisis time and had to become warriors of economy, health, grieving and maintaining sanity among the politics...yea, , I think you know it all from your spot in Australia as well.

SUCCINCT:

I subscribed to your channel, and as an adult-learner, I already had years-away from-my college-graduation but I am always taking graduate master courses and am a diverting individual..a guy who Could -should- get married but keeps thinking, maybe I'll get a puppy and Brooklyn-co-op apartment bought first..and yea...MOSTLY , I lived in Germany since I am a German citizen and USA but my mom is Italian born so I keep developing Italian language here back in NYC whilst working on other skills and being the freelance tutuo in the school year (now commencing)....lots more to explain, but I do not want to get tiresome here

SUCCINCT #2

Your newsletter is missing #22...However I did not notice since I am a voracious scan-scroll down and vertical (not horizontal reader) and that is a major flaw that I am trying to correct as we all should. (There is research on the perils of skimming that you probably read about the last couple of years. I am a fan of undoing the digital , dopamine, entrapment that weakens our skills and enslaves us, (i.e. speakers and researchers Cal Newport, Tristan Harris, Sherry Tukle, Tim Ferris(?) --all of these people are in my "hero" list this past 24 months)

OK Succinct #3

I am a fan of your work, so BIG THANK YOU for the A I and machine learning skill level that you demonstrate and make human AND THAT YOU ENABLE US as viewers and learners of following as well to improve our lives THANK YOU SIR, and if you get to NYC post-CoVid I will buy you a lunch(modest one), but good chinatown or Little Italy one (where I practice family-style Italian and I marvel at the chinese orthography) and truly, thanks....no joke, no exaggeration: you make things for post college-time learners who have to handle job stuff, family stiuff, and try to get that lean 6-pack for being fit , strong and being a weekend social -person ( NOT attached to Instagram and stuff---not at all-0---it destroys literacy, I believe and poisonous---

--Thanks for the Newsletter that I will read again in the course of the day, It offers a lot but I skimmed it to get the gist, knowing some of your work already (I do have a friend in Melbourne , Tim, who I chat with throughout the week a few years as a good friend and he graduated mechanical engineering so I spill over your learning and skill-adapting methods so that he could exponentially market and augment your helpfulness to others)( The TENSORFLOW video is what I shared with him recently and I saw that a few times to get the gist of how tenacity over months and year(s) can lead down the data analysis and skill set in this area that I could use in my work (in time, not just now, since I tutor and handle foreign langues )

German----all German and ES, engl sec. language)

SO , lastly, Happy Birthday...the health demonstrations with exercises and fasting are useful I have a dozen more years older than you so it is awesome to get a guide that has vision and longevity for "tri-athlete level" fitness that you seem to gun for (broad brush thought on that )

THE RESOURCES list in your newsletter are indispensable ---right off the bat, the James Altucher I am quite familiar with and he overlapped my attention and learning passions (he had some interviews the last couple of years that I picked up on recently so that I could get inspired with his writing, rhetoric, vision and application)...some others overlap as well, but you enlightened me as to a few that are quite pioneering. Thanks....my brother and his girlfriend are Manhattan people too,. who I live with , and the Italian cousins, aunt0-uncle downstairs...family environment...it is great to cherish life with the Vitality you bring to the learning platforms as I have said to my friend Tim -of-Melbourne (maybe he should write and co-create projects with you as per your working schedules)

CHeers Mate

--always hanging out at the Aussie place in Brooklyn called Sweatshop of Williamsburgh, a skater-coffee place where the vibe inspires creatives and time-planning-life-ambitious people who are earthy and have those aussie and new zealand twangs....I'll explain more, and take you there with friends if you make it here

Hey Daniel, this was a good summary. :) I could read through Taleb's wisdom through the text and truly it sounds like you have internalized his advice well - especially the part about being anti-fragile, obtaining knowledge via negativa style, and seeking optionality in life. Good luck to you, hope you continue to achieve more and inspire.
